Local swimmers bring home seven medals

Hurlyvale and Reddam House primary school learners qualified to compete in the Johannesburg Primary Top Five School Gala held at Trinity Park.

Of the swimmers who qualified, seven swimmers from The Aquatic Academy took part in the school gala.

Three of the seven swimmers took home medals.

Jody Copeland from Reddam won four medals; one gold for the junior individual medley and three silver medals for the 50m butterfly, freestyle, and backstroke events.

Mikayla Pon from Reddam won two silver medals in the 50m backstroke and freestyle events.

Jayden Botha from Hurlyvale won a silver medal in the 50m backstroke.
