13 May - The Festival at St Dunstan’s College, 54 Millburn Street. Tickets available from the school, Benoni City Times offices in Northmead Square, Mugg and Bean at The Square at Farrarmere and Wakaberry in Oakfields Shopping Centre. General access ticket prices are R150 and tickets sold on the day at the gates will cost R200. Backstage VIP tickets are R400, but VIP tickets bought on the day will be R500. Parking is R50. 5 April – Children aged five and over are invited to attend fun, free-of-charge craft activities at the Edenvale Library from 10am to 11am. Be creative with ‘Funny Bunny’. Please bring along a table fork, Bostik clear glue, sharp short scissors, Koki pens and two or more toilet roll inners. For more information, contact 011 999-3068.

6 to 9 April – St Andrew’s School for Girls Annual Netball Festival. 32 schools will participate from around South Africa. Refreshments will be on sale, Entrance is free. www.standrews.co.za for more information.

7 April – Easter Starlight Market at Stoneridge Centre. 6pm to 10pm in the Restaurant Piazza. Free entrance. Free open and basement parking all day.

8 April – Ladies Garden Party at NewDAY. Coffee shop will be open and light snacks will be available. RSVP to Joanne on 082 702 3671.

– Sci-Fit Kids training for children. Edenvale Sports Grounds situated on Seventeenth Avenue Edenvale. 7am to 8am, 8.15am to 9.15am and 9.30am to 10.30am. Free entrance, maximum 10 children per session.

10 April – The Edenvale Rotary presents Searching for Galileo, a talk by author, philosopher, adventurer and teacher, Annette Jahnel. Mongo’s Portuguese Mozambican Restaurant situated at 2 Sunrock Close, Sunnyrock. 6.15pm for 6.30pm. Contact Margie Evans on 082 801 9516.

18 April – Village Toastmaster meets on the third Tuesday of each month in the large hall of the Trinity Presbyterian Church situated at the corner of St David and Koster roads, Elma Park. Contact Kira on spatzendreck@live.co.za

– Edenvale Senior Citizen Society will hold an Easter Bonnet lunch at the Edenvale Community Centre. R45 for members and R50 for non-members. Contact Lenie on 011 453-7608 in the mornings only to book.

April 24 to 26 – Edenvale Football Club presents the John Tennant Memorial Tournament. Friday U/10’s kick off at 6.30pm. Saturday U/8, U/9 and U/11 kick off at 9am. Sunday U/6, U/7 and U/12 kick off at 9am.
