Mr Josua du Plessis, Mrs Charlotte Kruger and Mr Alan Rock, Rotary president.

The Rotary Club of Bedfordview recently attended the unveiling of Elandspark School’s Academic Board.

The unveiling took place at a dinner function held at the school on March 28.

According to the club’s spokesperson, Ms Philippa Heyneke, the academic Top 10 Plexiglas Honours Board is for Grade 6 to 10 learners.

She said her club sponsored the event.

The school’s head of department for educational guidance, Mrs Charlotte Kruger, said the purpose is to give acknowledgement for learners’ academic achievements and hard work.

Mr Josua du Plessis, the school’s principal, said the board is learner-orientated and is going to enhance the self esteem of many learners with special educational needs.

The dinner was prepared by the hospitality centre at the school and served by some of the students.
