On May 10 the Edenvale SAPS conducted a roadblock on Harris Road.

Acting station commander of the Edenvale SAPS Colonel Jimmy Munzhelele said the roadblock was a station operation.

Sergeant Jacob Mashile, acting spokesperson for the Edenvale SAPS, said by conducting the roadblocks the SAPS hopes to reduce crime in Edenvale.

He said the SAPS plans to hold roadblocks regularly.

“Through the roadblocks we hope to get rid of unlicensed firearms and narcotics and to find stolen items or vehicles,” said Mashile.
