Readers have their say on police harassment

Chris Nyabonze said, "I would definitely report it if it happened to me. I expect the police to do their job and not harass people."

If you ever found yourself being harassed by the police, would you know what to do and would you even report it?

People often complain about being harassed by police but do not report it as they feel nothing will be done about the matter. The NEWS asked some of our readers whether they would report police harassment and this is what they had to say.

In case you ever find yourself in a similar situation, you can contact the Independent Police Investigative Directorate’s (IPID) national office on 012 399 0000 or email complaints@ipid.gov.za
