Students from the Michael Roetz Karate Institute recently received their Gauteng Provincial Colours.
BCC were the winners of the day, with a final score of 5-2.
“We are looking forward to seeing these champions working towards gold.”
Rain on the day provided for slippery conditions for the players and a number of puddles on the field.
Edenvale ended the day with 15 points to Alexandra’s 5 points.
Some younger members of various Johannesburg based-clubs also participated for two hours of the seminar.
All games were tight in the first round and ended in a second place finish after the first round robin.
They almost single-handedly, Katlego with the bat and Tebogo with the ball, secured the victory for Jeppe that seemed highly unlikely earlier in the day.
“When I first joined the league I was nervous and did not know what to expect.”
The championships took place from February 10 to 12.
