Members of various emergency services joined around 800 bikers at South African Emergency Care (SAEC) to honour the 343 firefighters as well as other uniformed personnel who died on September 11, 2001.
This year marked the 16th year since the terror attacks on the Twin Towers.
To pay tribute to those who died, Firefighters Joburg Chapter organised a mass ride from Centurion to Modderfontein.
Around 800 bikers participated in the ride which was lead by popular music truck, Mustang Sally.
A large number of emergency services and rescue vehicles also joined in the ride.
Many guests from across Johannesburg and Ekurhuleni also attended the event to pay tribute to those who died.
