Katlego and Tebogo are twinning

Katlego and Tebogo Thena.

It was a case of double trouble for St Alban’s on Saturday, February 11, in their 1st team cricket match against Jeppe High School for Boys, when Jeppe’s identical twins, Katlego and Tebogo Thena, did the business.

They almost single-handedly, Katlego with the bat and Tebogo with the ball, secured the victory for Jeppe that seemed highly unlikely earlier in the day.

Jeppe batted first and were bowled out for just 115.

Katlego was the only batsmen to put up any real resistance.

He stubbornly defended his wicket in the face of all that the St Alban’s attack threw at him, and was still there at the end of the innings on 43 not out.

St Alban’s managed 23 without the loss of a wicket by lunch.

That was until the captain tossed the ball to Tebogo.

He proceeded to send down eight overs of quick, straight and full bowling and the St Alban’s middle-order and tail crumbled.

He finished with figures of five wickets for 21 runs off 8.3 overs and St Alban’s were 83 all out.

It meant a 32-run victory for Jeppe, and they had the formidable Thena twins to thank for it.
