The condition of Edenvale’s roads often results in damage to motor vehicles.

Roads in the town have become riddled with potholes.

The condition of the roads has raised concerns not only for motorists but also community members.

For a number of years, the NEWS has been reporting on the deterioration of Edenvale’s roads.

Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality told the NEWS it is possible for motorists to claim damages from the EMM.

Mr Themba Gadebe, spokesperson of the EMM, said Ekurhuleni road users who want to lodge a claim against council for damages incurred because of a pothole must complete a claims form.

He said the completed claims form must be sent to the insurance division of the EMM, located at 68 Woburn Avenue, Benoni.

Alternatively, the completed form can be sent to [email protected]

Claims forms are available from the EMM or local ward councillors.

To report potholes or other municipal-related issues, residents can phone the EMM call centre on 0860 543 000, send an SMS to 30788 or via the Ekurhuleni mobile app, which can be downloaded from either the Play Store or the App Store.

Ekurhuleni road users wishing to lodge a claim against Council for damages incurred due to a pothole should complete the attached claim form attached and returned to the insurance section in 68 Woburn Avenue or email it to [email protected]
