Benefits of advertising spelled out

Hirsch’s Meadowdale recently hosted its monthly Business Networking Morning with over 20 entrepreneurs.

Guest speaker for the morning, Ms Natalie Maree, spoke about the benefits of advertising.

Ms Maree is the group sales manager for Caxton Local Media Near East and South.

She’s been with Caxton for 10 years and has a passion for people, sales and advertising.

She previously managed the sales team of the Autodealer motoring supplement before moving over to manage sales in the main body of Caxton’s publications and websites.

This has given her great insight into the challenges and needs of various types of businesses and, most importantly, how strong the overall need for advertising is.

Ms Maree expressed how advertising is an important investment that needs to be included in the annual budget of any business.

“Advertising enables organisations to tell what products and services they provide, to reach out to prospective customers and pull in new customers while keeping you top of mind with current customers.

“Every time you pick up a newspaper or go online, you’ll be exposed to advertising by businesses that understand the importance of marketing,” she said.

After Ms Maree’s talk the participants were given the opportunity to present themselves and their business in a 30-second ‘elevator pitch’, followed by breakfast snacks, lucky draws, networking and swapping of business cards.
