Justin Greentree said, "The president most certainly has to explain. The fact is that his decision affects the economy. What he did is criminal. It's not the rich that get affected but the poor."
Following a cabinet reshuffle by President Jacob Zuma on March 30, a decision has been made by Judge Bashier Vally, ordering Zuma to provide the DA with records and reasons for reshuffling.
The NEWS asked residents if they think our president should be held accountable to citizens, and be forced to give reasons why he did the reshuffle.
Jeni Venter said, "Yes definitely, such information should be made accessible - we deserve to know because it affects us." Traci Cowell said, "Yes, he must be accountable - the country is not a deck of cards that he can just shuffle when he feels like it." Thabo Molefe said, " He must account and not just make a decision that no one agrees with. He's the president not our boss."
