Are men or women better leaders?

Author and media personality Itumeleng Sekhu "Women are better leaders because we give birth to projects- naturally. In life we are able to be both carers and thinkers at the same time. Women grow anything they give birth to in all facets."

Are men or women better leaders and why? We asked a few women who are leaders in their own right.

Mother, Ragel de Wet
“Women are better leaders because we can’t be manipulated easily by money and power. We are better problem solvers.”

Pop duo DeMonique Deme and Niqi Harris
“We believe that nothing is about gender. It’s all about personality and who fills the role best be it presidency, a CEO position or any other leadership role.”

Advocate and inspirational speaker Mona Naidoo
“Both men and women can be great leaders if they balance the feminine and masculine energy. Anyone who is polarised (either too masculine or too feminine) will not be an effective leader.”

Entrepreneur, youth leader and speaker Mandisa Gaba
“Women. We have – inherent in us – the ability to increase and enlarge what has been entrusted to us, whether it is a family or an organisation. We have a constant desire to grow and improve not only ourselves, but those around us too.”
