Edenvale police detective killed in car crash

The late Const Lesiba Charles Pila.

Edenvale SAPS detective Const Lesiba Charles Pila died in a car crash on September 30.

Capt Jean Olckers, spokesperson of the Edenvale SAPS, said Pila died in Limpopo.

Pila’s younger brother, his uncle as well as his neighbour, who were all travelling in the car with him, also died in the crash.

“Our hearts go out to the Pila family. Const Pila will be sadly missed by his friends and police family at the station,” said Olckers.

Pila joined Edenvale SAPS in 2008 and worked as a detective for the past nine years.
