Dancer does well at Eisteddfod gala evening

All concentration: super-talented Bedfordview dancer Bahiya Hajat.

Bahiya Hajat (10) from Saheti School was invited to attend the recent gala evening of the Eisteddfod, where she received numerous awards.

Bahiya dances with Jeanne Swart and Ignatius Van Heerden from Iggy’s Dance Academy in Bedfordview.

She was the junior winner for the highest achievement in dance and received two ambassador awards, which are only given to the top three per cent of 11 000 entries.

Bahiya was also the item winner for the acrobatics and modern dance sections at the Greater Ekurhuleni Eisteddfod.
