Bishop Bavin rowers place 3rd in champs

The South African Rowing Championships were held at Roodeplaat recently when Bishop Bavin’ rowing team took part in the u-15 doubles sculls race.

Forty-four different schools and clubs took part in the championships.

The final scores were Jeppe High School – gold (3:25.86), St Alban’s College – silver (3:30.18) and Bishop Bavin – bronze (3:30.26).

Jeppe broke the previous record set in 2012 by Charles Brittian (3:28:66).
