To assist learners with the application of their Smartcard IDs Edenvale High School recently partnered up with Edenvale’s Home Affairs office.

The partnership was formed after Gauteng’s Department of Education sent a letter to EHS inviting the school to get involved in the project.

EHS’ Charmaine Stones, Rebecca Molio (GDE) and Claudette Naidoo (Home Affairs) made the appointments for the learners.

Learners in grades 10, 11 and 12 were assisted before the Home Affairs office’s opening hours.

Doctor Larry Harmer, principal of Edenvale High School, thanked Edenvale Home Affairs office manager, Tsakani Hlungwani and all the staff at the office.

He said the Home Affairs’ staff were efficient and friendly during the school’s visits.

“EHS’ staff, pupils and parents truly appreciate the effort and time made to avoid standing in long queues.”

Harmer said he looks forward to a sustainable partnership with home affairs in the future.
