Thousands flock to family market

Community members flocked to Horwood’s Farm for another successful Horwood’s Farm Family Market On June 3.

The fourth market of its kind, held at the Edenvale Park, attracted 8 500 market goers.

While at the market, community members enjoyed live music, craft stalls, and family fun.

Charlene Jacobson, one of the market’s organisers, said the event went well.

“We received some really positive feedback about this month’s market,” she said.

The next Horwood’s Farm Family Market will be held on July 1.

Edenglen High School learners Kyle Ribeiro, Omar Kassim, Charl Giles and Samm Ngubane supported the local market.

Members of the Edenvale Youth Desk were out and about at the market creating awareness about fighting crime in our community. Local band 4am entertained the crowd at the market. Seen on stage are Nathan van Deventer, Pete Keleman and Marc Wainstein.
