Edenvale SAPS sector team arrested four suspects for possession of unlicensed firearms and ammunition, possession of stolen motor vehicles and stolen property on August 9.
Police spokesperson Capt Jean Olckers said Edenvale SAPS officers stopped two white bakkies, an Isuzu bakkie and Nissan bakkie while patrolling.
They found two firearm pistols with numbers filed off on two of the suspects in the Isuzu bakkie.
Officers arrested a 33-year-old and 45-year-old male suspects for possession of unlicensed firearms and ammunition.
The Isuzu bakkie was found to be a suspected stolen vehicle with a Johannesburg Central case.
In the Nissan bakkie they found house-break-in implements and arrested two young men between the ages of 23 to 30 years.
Suspects from the Isuzu bakkie have pending cases in Eldorado Park for possession of alleged stolen properties due to appear in Soweto Court on August 14.
The other case is for possession of stolen property where they will appear at the Kliptown Court on August 13.
One of the suspects also has an outstanding case for business robbery due to appear in court on August 13.
Suspects may be linked to more recent cases and seemed to be on a rampage, terrorising innocent law abiding citizens.
