Quondam Retirement Village have tea for Cansa

Quondam Retirement Village residents gathered to raise money for the Cancer Association of South Africa (Cansa) while enjoying a cup of tea for this good cause.

Quondam Retirement Village residents Yvonne Tonini, Heidi Murphy and Alice Rademeyer delighted in a social morning during the village’s recent Cuppa for Cansa event.

Cansa representative Tamara Wittstock provided the residents with an informative talk on Cansa and the critical work they do.

A morning of friendship and chatter followed, alongside a warm beverage and delicious burgers from the braai.

Quondam Retirement Village manager Liz Figueirinha and committee chairperson Brian Renwick were happy to welcome Tamara Wittstock from Cansa to their community centre for their Cuppa for Cansa event.

“It was really interesting to learn about Cansa and the services it offers and as a community, we were pleased to be able to raise some funds for the organisation in the process,” said Quondam Village committee chairperson Brian Renwick.
