Children’s Theatre presents Charlotte’s Web for the holidays

Charlotte will spin her magic web at the National Children’s Theatre (NCT) during the upcoming school holiday.

NCT will showcase the heart-warming story of Charlotte’s Web adapted by Joseph Robinette from the beloved novel by EB White.

The popular musical is a thrilling presentation based on what has been identified as the best American children’s book of the past 200 years by the Children’s Literature Association and is on the recommended reading list for schools.

Candice Weber plays the lead role of Charlotte.

The show is currently staged at NCT until October 7.

Celebrate the true meaning of friendship with Wilbur, the irresistible young pig; Fern, a young girl who loves Wilbur and understands the language of animals; Templeton, the gluttonous rat; and most of all, the extraordinary spider, Charlotte which proves to be a true friend and a good writer.

This popular tale takes audiences to Zuckerman’s Farm where Wilbur finds out he is to meet the butcher and land up at the dinner table as the main course, not the guest.

The remarkable and creative spider, Charlotte and her farmyard friends rescue Wilbur and the town notices.

Kyra Green plays Wilbur and Candice Weber plays the lead role of Charlotte.

There are moments of humour, moments of joy and the musical harmonies are pure pleasure in this joyous tale of unexpected friendship, selfless kindness and the natural cycle of life.
