EDITOR – In the article Residents Furious About Chopped Trees, councillor Jill Humphreys is quoted as saying: “I honestly believe that the number of accidents on the Gillooly’s interchange, which is the busiest in the country with so many splits, is undoubtedly due to confusion and being distracted by monstrous billboards.” I find her statement…
Both of us have noticed the camera flashing when we have stopped at the traffic light, it is obviously faulty.
“It is ridiculous to suggest that billboards be blamed for accidents.”
“I would like to thank the community for their very generous support.”
This is not the issue at hand, the issue was that I was gullible enough to believe the lies I was told.
I am 55 years old and proudly announce that I have never had a speeding fine.
Our assumption was that it photographed the intersection regardless of traffic at the point where the lights change,
“I put out three bags and two were removed before the official van came for pickup at 4.15pm”.
So often our press is criticised for only telling the bad news and it is admirable that you have highlighted the good news of what we are doing for the community of Edenvale.
They dealt with the problem with compassion, concern and took over the entire situation.
I wish to thank the librarians for a lovely day, they are a blessing to us as a community!
